The HARVEY TOOL 894220-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/64 inch (0.0200 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.12 inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling applications where tight tolerances and fine detail are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Three flutes with a 30-degree helix angle provide efficient chip evacuation while maintaining rigidity at small diameters. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in tool and die, mold making, and precision component manufacturing will find this end mill suited to their close-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for small-diameter, high-precision milling operations in materials such as steel, stainless, titanium, and hardened alloys. Its centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry as well as ramping and contouring moves. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration are standard for conventional CNC spindle operation. This tool fits applications where workpiece features are too fine for larger tooling and where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical.
Designed for use with 1/8 inch collets or collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Suitable for micro-milling applications across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a 1/64 inch cutting diameter is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized 1/8 inch collet or tool holder and verify runout before engaging the workpiece. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before use. At this diameter, tool deflection and runout are critical factors — use the shortest possible gauge length and ensure the collet and taper are clean and free of debris before tightening.
