The HARVEY TOOL 893062-C6 is a 4-flute solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-temperature alloy machining. It carries a 1/16 inch (0.062 inch) cutting diameter with a 0.1860 inch reach length and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The AlTiN Nano PVD coating provides heat and oxidation resistance suited to the extreme cutting temperatures generated when working superalloys and titanium. A 34-degree variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter and improves chip evacuation, making this tool appropriate for aggressive roughing strategies in difficult materials. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this geometry when surface finish and tool life in exotic alloys are both priorities.
This end mill is designed for primary use in superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S) and is also rated for secondary applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO codes P, M, K, and H). Typical install scenarios include 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling centers running high-temp alloy aerospace components, medical device parts, and precision die work. The single-end, straight-cylindrical 1/8 inch shank fits standard ER and end mill holders without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-specified solid carbide ball end mill for CNC milling applications in superalloys, titanium, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. Compatible with standard 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC tooling setup and high-temperature alloy cutting parameters. Secure the 1/8 inch straight shank in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and verify runout before engaging the cut. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool reach or axial depth of cut beyond what the machine and workholding setup can rigidly support, as deflection at small diameters can cause tool breakage.
