The HARVEY TOOL 888439-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 1 mm cutting diameter and a 3-flute geometry, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish in hard and abrasive materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces and surface finish quality. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working on CNC milling centers.
The 888439-C3 is suited for precision profiling, slotting, and contouring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. Its sub-2 mm diameter makes it appropriate for micro-milling work, mold and die detail work, and small-feature machining on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers. The single-end configuration and solid carbide construction make it a standard tooling choice in production and prototype environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter collet or end mill holder. Suitable for standard ER-style collet chucks and precision toolholders configured for small-diameter carbide end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change mode is active before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a precision collet or shrink-fit holder rated for the 0.125 inch shank diameter to maintain runout within acceptable tolerances. Avoid side-loading or over-projecting the tool beyond the recommended length of cut to prevent deflection or breakage in this sub-2 mm diameter range.
