The HARVEY TOOL 876047-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight geometries and extended-reach applications. It carries a 0.0470-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0100-inch corner radius and a 0.7813-inch length of cut, ground from solid carbide for rigidity and wear resistance. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports both roughing and finishing operations. An AlTiN physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hard materials. The 1/8-inch straight shank fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision part production.
This end mill is engineered for miniature and micro-scale milling work where a standard-reach tool cannot access the feature. The long-reach geometry, with a 0.2500-inch reach length and 1.5-inch overall length, makes it suitable for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry, and is appropriate for both prototype shops and production environments running small, complex components requiring tight corner radii and smooth surface finishes.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials as indicated by ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in the toolholder collet or chuck, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as runout is especially critical at this diameter. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for miniature carbide end mills; do not exceed the tool's specified length of cut of 0.1410 inches per pass without engineering review.
