The HARVEY TOOL 874162-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter and a 3/32 inch (0.093 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-feature geometries. The 4-flute configuration and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. An AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working on precision components are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for small-part machining, die and mold work, and detailed pocket milling where minimal tool diameter is required. The extended reach design — with a 1/2 inch reach length — allows access to recessed features without interference from the shank. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this a conventional-rotation tool compatible with standard spindle setups. It is a single-end tool intended for precision applications where runout control and tool holding rigidity are critical.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1/8 inch shank collet systems on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and CNC routers requiring a 1/16 inch diameter square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with collet and tool-holder systems. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth to minimize runout. At 1/16 inch diameter, this tool is susceptible to deflection and breakage if clamping, feed rates, or depth of cut are not appropriate for the material and setup.
