The HARVEY TOOL 865630-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.2031-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and four helical flutes with right-hand cutting direction. The tool is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-speed cutting environments. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The single-end, center-cutting design supports both roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its stub-and-standard miniature profile makes it well matched to tight-tolerance work in mold, die, and precision component machining. The 0.03-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting corner, extending tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills in interrupted or high-load cuts. It is intended for use in professional CNC or manual milling setups where small-diameter, close-tolerance tooling is required.
Designed for use with standard collet toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by machinists using a collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 1/4-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Confirm collet runout is within specification before cutting, as excessive runout at this diameter accelerates tool wear and reduces dimensional accuracy. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's feed and speed recommendations for the workpiece material being cut.
