The HARVEY TOOL 864693 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a 3/32-inch cutting diameter and a 0.01-inch corner radius, which reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. With three right-hand spiral flutes and a short flute length of 9/64 inches, the tool is optimized for rigidity and accurate dimensional output. The 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet-style toolholders. This end mill is suitable for both roughing and finishing passes, making it a versatile single-end tool for production and prototype machining environments.
This end mill is built for use in CNC milling applications on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composite, and wood. Its stub-length geometry keeps deflection low in tight-tolerance slots and contour passes. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving the machinist flexibility when programming toolpaths. It is commonly used in tool rooms, job shops, and production facilities where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required on multi-axis machining centers and standard vertical mills.
Compatible with standard collet-style and straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for use with CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and similar equipment configured for small-diameter end mills. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composite, and wood.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly locked before loading or unloading the tool. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the toolholder manufacturer's specification when tightening collet nuts to avoid shank damage. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius under magnification before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and susceptible to chipping if mishandled or dropped.
