The HARVEY TOOL 860662 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight, hard-to-reach areas. With a 0.062-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute helical geometry, it delivers efficient material removal and a quality surface finish in a single operation. The long-reach, stub-flute configuration gives machinists access to deep pockets and contoured features while maintaining rigidity. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation during both roughing and finishing passes. The bright uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion or built-up edge is a concern.
This end mill is built for CNC milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. Its miniature diameter and extended reach make it a practical choice for die-and-mold work, aerospace components, and medical device machining where fine detail and access to narrow cavities are required. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet holders and tool holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. Fits standard collet and tool holder systems accepting a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for right-hand CNC milling spindles.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC milling operations. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool from the holder. Verify runout and tool projection before cutting, as miniature-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to improper seating and excessive overhang. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for speed, feed, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
