The HARVEY TOOL 855310 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. With a 0.1719-inch cutting diameter and a 0.01-inch corner radius, it blends tight tolerances with durability suited for miniature and close-tolerance work. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. At 2 inches overall length with a 33/64-inch length of cut, this is a stub and standard series tool built for rigidity in shallow-to-moderate depth passes. Machinists and tooling technicians in production and job shop environments install and run this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for applications requiring a small-diameter, tight-corner-radius tool in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composite, and wood. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, making it adaptable to slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. Its straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in a standard toolholder. The stub-to-standard length geometry keeps deflection low, which is critical when working with miniature features at tight tolerances.
Designed for use with standard toolholders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composite, and wood. Fits applications within the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians in a CNC or manual milling environment. Power down or e-stop the spindle and confirm zero-energy state before seating or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify runout after mounting, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to holder concentricity. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material.
