The HARVEY TOOL 852808-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in hardened steels and other demanding workpiece materials. With a 1/8 inch mill diameter, 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/64 inch corner radius, this single-end tool is designed to maintain tight tolerances while handling both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. The 5-flute, close-pitch, variable helix geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish in difficult-to-machine alloys. It is intended for use with high precision toolholders and is well suited to job shop machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and mold makers working in hardened material applications.
This end mill is part of the Harvey Tool series designed specifically for hardened steels up to 55 Rc. It also performs in stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. With a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank and a 2.5 inch overall length, it fits standard ER-style and other high-precision collet systems common in CNC machining centers. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction suit conventional vertical and horizontal CNC milling applications. The centercutting design allows plunge entry where required by the operation.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys, with hardened steel capability up to 55 Rc. Part of the Harvey Tool End Mills for Hardened Steels - Corner Radius series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is seated to proper engagement depth in a clean, high-precision collet or toolholder before tightening. Do not exceed the rated material hardness of 55 Rc for the intended series application. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
