The HARVEY TOOL 848878-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-temperature alloy machining. It carries a 0.078-inch mill diameter, a 0.025-inch corner radius, and three variable-helix flutes that reduce harmonics and chatter during aggressive cuts. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating adds heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in demanding applications. With a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 1.5-inch overall length, this single-end, center-cutting tool is sized for tight-tolerance finishing and roughing operations in small-part and die-mold work. A licensed machinist or CNC tooling specialist installs and runs this tool.
This end mill is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Before changing tooling, confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state per the equipment manufacturer's lockout procedure. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Do not exceed the tool's rated diameter-to-depth ratio without consulting cutting data tables, and always verify runout at the tool tip before commencing a cut.
