The tool features a 0.155-inch cutting diameter, a 0.504-inch length of cut, and a 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) shank diameter. Three flutes deliver balanced chip evacuation and consistent thread form across a range of workpiece materials. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. Machinists running CNC machining centers use this tool where a single-point tap or form tap is not practical.
