The HARVEY TOOL 836993-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 3/32 inch cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 2-1/2 inches. The 4-flute geometry paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting abrasive or high-temperature alloys. This end mill is intended for installation in CNC machining centers and manual mills by machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium, and high-temperature alloys in both job shop and production environments. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification using the appropriate spanner wrenches. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
