The HARVEY TOOL 836962-C3 is a miniature solid carbide square end mill designed for precision machining in demanding applications. Built with a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and a 1/4 inch length of cut, this long-flute single-end tool handles tight-tolerance work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP materials. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. With four flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and right-hand cut and flute direction, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in miniature milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical device, and precision mold applications will find this tool suited to fine-detail work.
This end mill fits applications requiring a long-flute miniature tool with a 1/8 inch shank. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry where the operation requires it. The tool is well suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring in small-scale features on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series, designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter tooling and extended reach are critical. Coolant-through capability is not available on this tool.
Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials. Designed as part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 1/8 inch shank collet or tool holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate clamping length to minimize runout. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut are set per the tool manufacturer guidelines for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut when programming axial depth to avoid tool deflection or breakage on this small-diameter tool.
