The HARVEY TOOL 836410 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and hard materials. With a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) cutting diameter and a 9/16 inch (0.562 inch) length of cut, this tool delivers accurate edge geometry in tight-tolerance applications. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with rigidity, making it well-suited for finishing passes and slotting in harder workpiece materials. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. The bright, uncoated carbide substrate performs reliably in dry cutting conditions and across a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard end mill holders or collet chucks.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision work is required. Typical applications include die and mold work, profiling, slotting, and finish milling in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials. The single-end, right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral make it compatible with conventional right-hand spindle machines. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and shrink-fit holders sized for that shank. The 2 inch overall length keeps tool overhang minimal, which helps maintain rigidity during cutting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a 3/16 inch shank and 5/32 inch cutting diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a properly sized collet or end mill holder before operation. Verify tool runout after installation to maintain tolerances, especially at this small diameter. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to avoid tool breakage.
