The HARVEY TOOL 835378-C6 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hard materials. With a 5/64 inch (0.0780 inch) cutting diameter and 5 flutes, this single-end tool delivers fine finishes and improved chip evacuation in tight-tolerance applications. The 44-degree variable helix geometry reduces chatter and harmonics during cut, making it well suited for high-speed machining operations. An AlTiN Nano coating provides enhanced heat resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. A right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction follow standard milling conventions. This tool is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, medical device, and mold and die environments.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in small-feature applications where a sub-1/8 inch diameter cutter is required. The 5/16 inch length of cut (0.312 inch) and 1/8 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet systems and tool holders used on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. It is not center-cutting, so plunge entry is not recommended. Applications include hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys where AlTiN Nano coating performance is most beneficial.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers, mills, and routers requiring a sub-1/8 inch diameter square end mill with a 5-flute solid carbide configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before loading or unloading tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet to the recommended gauge line depth and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Because this tool is not center-cutting, program toolpaths to avoid direct plunge moves into the workpiece.
