The HARVEY TOOL 834131-C3 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. Ground from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, this single-end tool cuts at 0.031 inches diameter with a 5/32-inch length of cut and a 1/8-inch shank diameter. The 4-flute configuration and 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and surface finish quality. At 2.5 inches overall length, it fits standard collet-style toolholders used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this class of tool for micro-slot milling, engraving, and contour work.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP composite materials. The long-flute series geometry extends reach into deeper pockets relative to cutter diameter. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece, useful in interpolation and ramp-entry operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard for conventional CNC programming setups. This tool is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series and is intended for professional machining environments where dimensional accuracy is critical.
Compatible with ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP composites. Fits any standard 1/8-inch collet or toolholder. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using a properly sized collet or toolholder rated for high-speed operation. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the 1/8-inch shank. At this diameter, runout control is critical — use a precision collet chuck and verify TIR before cutting. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and speed selection appropriate to the workpiece material.
