The HARVEY TOOL 834120-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision micro-milling operations in metalworking and tooling applications. With a 0.5 mm (0.0200 inch) cutting diameter and a 4-flute geometry, this end mill delivers fine surface finishes and efficient chip evacuation in hardened and abrasive materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting efficiency with edge strength at small diameters. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The shank diameter is 0.125 inches, and overall length is 2.5 inches.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles performing slot milling, profiling, and fine-detail work in mold-making, die work, aerospace component finishing, and medical device manufacturing. The 0.1-inch length of cut makes it appropriate for shallow passes in dense or hardened workpieces. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a right-hand flute direction. This tool is not centercutting and should not be used for direct plunge operations. Machinists and CNC programmers working with micro tooling in production or prototype environments are the primary users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer or spindle is at rest before inserting or removing the tool. Use a precision collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Because this tool is not centercutting, do not program direct axial plunge moves — use ramping or helical entry toolpaths instead.
