The HARVEY TOOL 832524-C3 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and countersinking operations on a wide range of materials. Built with 5 flutes and an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, it handles high-temperature cutting environments and delivers clean, consistent edge breaks on ferrous and nonferrous workpieces. The 3/8 inch cutter head and 3/8 inch shank diameter pair with a 2.5 inch overall length to suit common toolholder setups on CNC machining centers and manual mills. This tool is typically installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This chamfer mill is suited for production and job-shop environments where repeatable chamfer geometry is required. The 30 degree and 150 degree included angle configuration covers standard chamfer profiles on steel, aluminum, stainless, and hardened materials. The single-end design keeps setup straightforward, and the right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional CNC spindle rotation. The 0.569 inch length of cut provides adequate reach for typical edge-prep and countersink work across a range of workpiece thicknesses.

Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from its holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench and appropriate collet or set-screw holder to secure the shank per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, and confirm runout with a dial indicator when tight tolerances are required.
