The HARVEY TOOL 831860 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of materials. Built to miniature end mill standards, it features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.0600 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The bright uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and other materials where coating buildup is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments rely on this geometry for both roughing and finishing passes where edge integrity and radius accuracy are critical.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines wherever a consistent, tight-tolerance corner radius is required. Its stub and standard series classification makes it appropriate for general-purpose work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composites, and wood. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its versatility in pocket milling and contouring applications. It is sized for standard 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical toolholders and collet chucks.
Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders and collet-style tool holders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Designed for use across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, wood, and composite workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly seated to the minimum recommended gauge length before securing. Verify runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts. Confirm the selected toolholder bore and collet size match the 1/4 inch shank diameter prior to mounting.
