The HARVEY TOOL 830930-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. Built to a 0.1562 inch (5/32 inch) cutting diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius and a long-flute length of cut measuring 0.5000 inches, this tool is part of the Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Long Flute series. The four-flute, right-hand cutting geometry combined with an AlTiN PVD coating makes it well-suited for finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. A 30-degree helical flute profile promotes smooth chip evacuation and surface finish quality in tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for CNC machining centers and milling machines where miniature tooling is required. Its long-flute configuration provides extended reach into pockets, slots, and contoured features without sacrificing rigidity typical of solid carbide construction. The straight cylindrical shank with a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) diameter is compatible with standard collet-style and precision toolholders. Finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous or composite workpiece materials are the primary application. No coolant-through capability is present on this tool, so external coolant or air blast is used when required.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders and precision milling toolholders accepting a 0.1875 inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine in an e-stop or lockout state. The straight shank must be seated to proper insertion depth in the toolholder and torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Runout should be checked at setup, as miniature-diameter tools are sensitive to collet contamination and improper seating. Verify the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips before securing the tool.
