The HARVEY TOOL 823812-C3 is a solid carbide drill mill designed to perform both drilling and milling operations in a single tool. With a 3/16-inch cutting diameter and a 90-degree point angle, it can plunge, slot, and profile in ferrous and non-ferrous materials without a tool change. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Three flutes provide a balance between chip evacuation and cutting edge strength. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 823812-C3 is suited for precision work in tight tolerances where drilling and end milling must be combined in a single operation. Its 5/8-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-medium depth applications in mold work, fixture fabrication, and general precision machining. The 3/16-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, allowing it to seat directly in standard collets without a step-down adapter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with standard collet toolholding systems accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the machine manufacturer specification before use. Ensure the spindle is at a full stop before loading or removing the tool. Do not exceed the depth of cut or feed rates recommended for the workpiece material and coating type.
