The HARVEY TOOL 823108 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/8-inch (0.125-inch) cutting diameter and a 3/16-inch (0.187-inch) length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight geometries. The three-flute, right-hand cutting configuration with a 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation and surface finish, making it suitable for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It ships bright and uncoated, with no additional coating to affect dimensional tolerances. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for light-to-medium milling work on CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, allowing use in standard collets without reduction. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps tool deflection minimal at this diameter. Typical applications include die and mold work, part profiling, and slot cutting in aluminum, steel, and similar materials where a small-diameter square end profile is needed.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collet systems accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge line depth before torquing the collet nut. At this diameter, tool runout is critical — verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the 3/16-inch length of cut to prevent tool deflection or breakage.
