The HARVEY TOOL 823025-C3 is a miniature solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.025-inch cutting diameter and a 0.037-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine-detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The three-flute, right-hand cutting geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting at small scales. An AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in demanding materials. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. It is used by machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fabricators working on CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for fine-detail profiling, slotting, and contouring in applications that require a very small cutter diameter. The 1/8-inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collets and tool holders found on benchtop CNC routers and full-size vertical machining centers. It is appropriate for prototype work, mold and die finishing, medical component machining, and electronics fixture fabrication where fine geometry and tight tolerances are critical. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than reindexed when the cutting edge is spent.
Designed for use in CNC vertical machining centers and CNC routers equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or compatible toolholder accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator and should be seated fully in a clean, undamaged collet before tightening to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Always power down the spindle and confirm it has come to a full stop before changing tools. At 0.025-inch diameter, this tool is extremely fragile and should be handled carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edge during installation or storage. Verify runout at the collet before cutting to minimize deflection and premature tool breakage.
