The HARVEY TOOL 823020-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of small-diameter features. With a 0.5 mm (0.0200 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/32 inch (0.03 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for micro-machining applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. The 3-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a strong core. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in ferrous and exotic alloy materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1-1/2 inch overall length are standard for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups.
This end mill is suited for precision machining operations in mold making, medical device manufacturing, aerospace component work, and electronics fabrication where micro-scale features are required. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry, making it useful for slot milling, profiling, and pocket work at extremely fine scales. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC vertical machining center setups. Machinists working with tight tolerances in hardened steels, stainless alloys, or titanium will find the AlTiN coating particularly appropriate for these material classes.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank tooling and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide cutting tools.
