The HARVEY TOOL 810100 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in tight tolerances. Built to wire gauge size No. 87, this bit measures 0.0100 inches in diameter with an overall length of 1.5000 inches and a flute length of 0.0680 inches. The 130-degree point angle provides a self-centering entry that reduces walking on hard or dense materials. Solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in small-diameter drilling applications. The bright, uncoated finish suits a wide range of base materials without added coating thickness that could affect dimensional accuracy.
This micro drill bit is suited for precision machining work where extremely small hole diameters are required. Micro drill bits of this diameter should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with small-diameter tooling practices. Always secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout with a dial indicator when extreme precision is required. At 0.0100-inch diameter, feed rates and spindle speeds must be carefully matched to material hardness to avoid bit breakage. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing tooling.
