The HARVEY TOOL 802662-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter and a 5/8 inch length of cut, this tool removes material cleanly in tight-tolerance features including slots, pockets, and profiled edges. The 4-flute geometry paired with a 30-degree right-hand helix promotes chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures, making this end mill well suited for hardened steels, stainless alloys, and high-temperature materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length fit standard collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for professional machinists and toolmakers working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The centercutting configuration allows plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. The small 1/16 inch diameter suits fine-detail work such as engraving, micro-slot milling, and intricate cavity machining in mold and die, aerospace, and medical component work.
Designed as an OEM-style single-end square end mill for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed spindle applications that accept a 1/8 inch shank diameter toolholder or collet.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state per shop lockout procedures. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification before starting the spindle. At 1/16 inch diameter, this tool is sensitive to runout — verify collet condition and holder cleanliness before every setup to prevent premature breakage. Speeds and feeds should be established from the manufacturer cutting data for the specific workpiece material and machine capability.
