The HARVEY TOOL 787378-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, this single-end tool features a 5/64 inch (0.0780 inch) diameter, a 0.010 inch corner radius, and 4 helical right-hand flutes. The long-flute geometry provides a 5/16 inch length of cut and an overall length of 2.5 inches with a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Centercutting capability allows direct plunging. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC milling operations where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required.
The 787378-C3 is suited for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its miniature diameter and long-flute design make it well-matched for contouring, profiling, and corner-radius work in tight pockets and narrow features where reach and precision are critical. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation during right-hand cutting. It is appropriate for both prototype and production environments operating on CNC machining centers with compatible toolholders sized for a 1/8 inch shank.
Designed for use with toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), cast iron (ISO K), non-ferrous metals (ISO N), and composites (ISO O).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an safe state before changing tooling. Confirm shank seating depth meets the toolholder minimum engagement requirement before tightening. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; use external coolant or mist lubrication as appropriate for the workpiece material.
