The HARVEY TOOL 76262 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and composite machining applications. It features a 1/16-inch cutting diameter with a 0.186-inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle, delivering clean, accurate cuts in demanding materials. The single-end, centercutting geometry allows for both plunge and peripheral milling operations. With a 1/2-inch reach length and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, this tool is well-suited for tight-tolerance work in confined areas. It ships uncoated in a bright finish and is built for use by machinists, tool and die workers, and CNC operators working in production or prototype environments.
This end mill is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials. The long-reach configuration and miniature diameter make it a practical choice for mold work, engraving, detailed profiling, and small-feature machining. It fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with an appropriate collet or toolholder sized for a 1/8-inch shank. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for this tool.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials. Fits toolholders and collets accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Reach, Standard Flute series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a properly sized collet or toolholder before beginning setup. Verify runout with a dial indicator after toolsetting, as miniature carbide end mills are sensitive to excessive runout and can fracture under lateral load. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
