The HARVEY TOOL 75152-C3 is a solid carbide tapered ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and deep-cavity work. It features a 15-degree taper angle per side, a 0.02-inch small end diameter, and a 0.205-inch length of cut, making it well suited for detailed 3D contouring, rib milling, and die-and-mold work where reach and wall clearance matter. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. With 2 flutes and a 12-degree helix angle, it provides a balance of chip evacuation and edge strength at small diameters. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in tool and die, aerospace, and medical device applications are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is built for CNC machining centers where fine detail work demands a tapered profile with a ball nose tip. The Runner Cutters series designation indicates it is engineered for long-reach, deep-slot, and contoured surface applications. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets and tool holders commonly found in vertical machining centers. It is suited for finish passes on hardened steels, stainless, and titanium alloys where heat buildup is a concern and tight tolerances on radii and wall angles are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tapered ball end mill for CNC machining applications requiring a 1/8-inch shank and 15-degree taper per side; part of the HARVEY TOOL Runner Cutters series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the 1/8-inch shank. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or set-screw holder to secure the shank without over-clamping, which can induce runout at small diameters. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a finish pass, as even minor runout has measurable impact on surface quality and tool life at this end diameter.
