The HARVEY TOOL 75103-C3 is a solid carbide tapered ball end mill designed for precision contouring, slotting, and 3D profiling in tight geometries. It features a 15-degree taper angle per side, a 0.094-inch small end diameter, and a 2-flute configuration with a 12-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in hard and abrasive materials. With a 0.215-inch length of cut and a 3/16-inch shank diameter, this cutter is built for work in confined pockets and tapered wall features on CNC machining centers. It weighs 0.03 pounds and carries an overall length of 2 inches.
This tapered end mill is suited for mold and die work, medical component machining, aerospace part finishing, and other applications that require tight tolerance tapered wall profiles. The ball end geometry allows for smooth 3D surface finishing passes in hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding materials. It is part of the Runner Cutters series, intended for use on CNC mills and machining centers running at appropriate speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the target material. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this cutter suited to finish and semi-finish passes in deep, narrow cavities.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide tapered ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter toolholder or collet system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before inserting or removing the cutter. Use a properly sized ER collet or end mill holder rated for the 3/16-inch shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and do not exceed the rated length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
