The HARVEY TOOL 74065 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.065-inch cutting diameter and a 0.195-inch length of cut, this single-end mill handles both roughing and finishing passes in one tool. The 2-flute, 30-degree right-hand helical geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in tight, small-feature applications. The uncoated bright finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and materials where coating adhesion or heat buildup is a concern. Machinists and tooling professionals working on precision components, molds, and detailed workpieces rely on this type of miniature end mill for controlled material removal.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-feature detail work is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collets and end mill holders sized for 1/8-inch tooling. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps deflection low in short-reach applications, which is critical when cutting at this diameter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and mills accepting 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank tooling. Suitable for roughing and finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals (ISO material codes P, M, K, and N).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet chuck is depressurized before seating or removing the tool. Use a collet or end mill holder rated for 0.125-inch shank diameter and verify runout before cutting at this diameter, as even minor runout is proportionally large relative to the tool size. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut when working with miniature carbide end mills.
