The HARVEY TOOL 73120 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.12 inch cutting diameter and a 23/64 inch (0.36 inch) length of cut, this end mill handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight geometries. The 4-flute configuration provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces vibration. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and other materials where coating adhesion is not required. This tool is a single-end design and is installed by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job shop environments.
The HARVEY TOOL 73120 fits applications where small-diameter, high-precision milling is required. Typical use cases include finish milling of aluminum, brass, copper, and engineered plastics, as well as detail work on molds, dies, and fixtures. The 1/8 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collets and tool holders sized for that bore. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. The 1.5 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid in the spindle, minimizing deflection at small diameters.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch bore collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. No specific model compatibility data was provided by the manufacturer for this SKU.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool holder manufacturer torque specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as runout at small diameters has an outsized effect on tool life and surface finish.
