The HARVEY TOOL 73025-C3 is a miniature square end mill engineered for precision machining in demanding applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for small-diameter work where lesser materials fail. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and exotic materials. At 0.025 inches in cutting diameter with a 0.075 inch length of cut, this end mill targets fine detail work, micro-slot milling, and engraving passes where tight tolerances are non-negotiable. Four flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups handling small-scale precision work in tool and die, mold making, medical device manufacturing, and aerospace component finishing. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility when programming ramped or direct plunge toolpaths. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders found in most benchtop and full-size CNC mills. Single-end configuration is standard. Work material typically includes hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and high-temp alloys where the AlTiN finish earns its value.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before seating a small-diameter tool of this size, as excess runout accelerates breakage. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended grip length and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. At 0.025 inches in diameter, feed and speed parameters are critical — consult the Harvey Tool speeds and feeds guide for this series before cutting.
