The HARVEY TOOL 73015-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.045 inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine-detail work in tight spaces and micro-machining applications. The four-flute geometry paired with a 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting hard or abrasive materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this end mill when high accuracy and edge integrity are required in ferrous and hardened workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where small-diameter precision cutting is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. With a 1.5 inch overall length and no extended reach, this tool maintains rigidity to minimize deflection during light finishing passes or contour milling on hard materials including alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened metals where AlTiN coating performance is most effective.
Designed as a standard shank end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collets or end mill holders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerances. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify spindle runout with a test indicator prior to use, as excess runout at this diameter will accelerate edge wear or cause breakage. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
