The HARVEY TOOL 72860 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built as a single-end, center-cutting tool, it features a 3/8 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.060 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding materials. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports both roughing and finishing operations. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action in a compact stub-and-standard form factor suited to tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where corner radius geometry is required to blend walls and floors cleanly. It performs in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for aluminum and non-ferrous applications where coated tooling may cause galling, and it remains suitable for ferrous materials in lighter-duty passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with toolholders sized for 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shanks will find this tool ready to run without modification.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite materials. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop-standard toolholder torque and runout procedures. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and shank condition before seating the tool. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Follow all machine guarding and PPE requirements applicable to your facility and operation.
