The cutter is machined from solid carbide, delivering the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent edge geometry at high spindle speeds. At 3/16 inches in cutter head diameter with a 2-flute configuration, this mill is well suited for small-feature work and tight-tolerance chamfering. It carries a 60-degree and 120-degree included angle geometry, giving machinists flexibility across common chamfer specifications. The bright, uncoated finish keeps it ready for immediate use. The 72460 is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling operations where precise, repeatable chamfers are required on small features. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer mill for use in standard 3/16-inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 3/16-inch shank in a correctly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down the spindle completely before tool changes. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for solid carbide at this diameter, as small-diameter carbide tooling is susceptible to breakage from side load or excessive chip load.
