The HARVEY TOOL 72095 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.0950-inch cutting diameter and a 0.285-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in tight geometries. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coating adhesion or heat buildup is a concern. This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter, close-tolerance work is required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and precision tool holders commonly found in production and prototype machining setups. Its center-cutting capability allows it to plunge directly into the workpiece, adding versatility for pocket milling and ramping operations. Typical applications include mold and die work, fixture machining, and precision part production in aluminum, brass, copper, and engineering plastics.
Designed for use in standard 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) tool holders and ER collet systems on CNC and manual milling machines. Confirm spindle runout and collet condition before use with small-diameter tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retaining nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and sensitive to chipping from improper handling or excessive runout.
