The HARVEY TOOL 72080-C4 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 0.0800-inch cutting diameter and a 0.24-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work, slot milling, and profiling in tight tolerances. The amorphous diamond coating provides exceptional hardness and lubricity, making it well suited for machining abrasive non-ferrous materials. A 30-degree right-hand helix and 2-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machinists and tooling specialists rely on this end mill for high-precision CNC applications where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling operations where small-diameter tooling is required. It is commonly applied in aerospace, medical device, electronics, and mold-and-die work where fine detail and tight tolerances are standard requirements. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collet and tool-holder systems. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration suits conventional vertical and horizontal CNC mill setups. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece material.
Designed for use with standard 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) collets and tool holders on CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines. Best suited for non-ferrous and abrasive materials where diamond coating provides optimal performance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended grip depth and torque the collet nut to the tool-holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing the cut to protect the small-diameter tool from premature breakage.
