The HARVEY TOOL 72060-C3 is a miniature solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a 0.0600-inch cutting diameter and a 0.1800-inch length of cut, this tool handles fine detail work where larger end mills cannot reach. The 2-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. This tool is single-end and centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where miniature tooling is required.
This end mill is suited for precision machining in industries such as mold and die, medical device manufacturing, aerospace component work, and electronics fabrication. Its 0.1250-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders. The stub and standard series classification means this tool fits typical short-reach setups where rigidity is more important than extended reach. It is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in small-scale features across a range of workpiece materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collets or compatible miniature tool holders. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous materials, and CFRP materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Verify collet condition and runout before use, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear on miniature diameters. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety protocols for toolholder torque and setup procedures.
