The HARVEY TOOL 72026 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.026 inch cutting diameter and a 5/64 inch (0.078 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for micro-machining work where accuracy and rigidity matter. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet systems found on CNC machining centers and manual mills. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the bright uncoated finish suits it for a range of materials without added coating thickness that could affect micro-diameter tolerances. This end mill is sold as a single unit and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators.
The HARVEY TOOL 72026 is suited for small-feature milling operations such as slots, pockets, and contours in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting, giving operators flexibility in toolpath programming. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC milling setups. Applications include precision component work in aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and general metalworking environments where small diameter tooling is required.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 1/8 inch collet or toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder and verify runout before committing to a finish pass, as micro-diameter tools are especially sensitive to runout-induced deflection and breakage. At this diameter, conservative feed and speed settings are recommended when dialing in a new operation.
