The HARVEY TOOL 68187-C3 is a solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed to produce precise radius profiles on workpiece edges. With a 3/16 inch radius and 1/2 inch mill diameter, this double-end tool delivers two usable cutting ends, extending service life on the shop floor. The 4-flute geometry supports smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making this tool well-suited for dry or near-dry machining at elevated speeds. Machinists and toolmakers use this end mill on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills for edge-breaking, radius blending, and decorative chamfer work.
This corner rounding end mill is used in precision machining environments including job shops, aerospace component production, mold and die work, and general metalworking. The flared series geometry accommodates a range of profiling applications where a consistent, repeatable radius is required. With a 1/2 inch shank diameter, it mounts directly into standard ER collet chucks, side-lock holders, or shrink-fit tooling. The 3 inch overall length provides clearance for most standard setups without excessive tool overhang.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill compatible with CNC and manual milling setups accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, and confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type.
