The HARVEY TOOL 64493-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in high-temperature alloys, hardened steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. It features a 0.093-inch mill diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius and a variable helix design that reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal stability and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With a stub flute geometry and extended reach configuration, this tool is built for long-reach applications in confined or deep-pocket features. It is installed and operated by machinists and tooling professionals working in precision CNC milling environments.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers where long-reach, stub-flute access is required. It is designed for roughing and finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional vertical and horizontal machining center setups. The 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank is compatible with high-precision toolholders as specified by the manufacturer. Applications include aerospace, die-and-mold, and medical component machining where tight corner radius tolerances are critical.
Intended for use with high-precision toolholders. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Variable Helix End Mills for High Temp Alloys - Corner Radius - Long Reach, Stub Flute series.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC tooling and cutting parameters for hard and high-temperature alloys. Verify toolholder runout and clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before use. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity before engaging the cut. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; apply external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication as required by the operation.
