The HARVEY TOOL 61793-C4 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding materials including aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and composites. It features a 0.093-inch mill diameter, a 0.005-inch corner radius, and three flutes arranged in a variable helix configuration. The amorphous diamond (PVD) coating extends tool life and reduces built-up edge in non-ferrous and ferrous applications. The single-end, right-hand cutting geometry with spiral flutes supports both roughing and finishing passes. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for high-precision milling operations in aerospace, automotive, and general machining environments. The variable helix design reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, making it effective in long-reach and thin-wall scenarios. It accommodates steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, wood, and composite workpiece materials. A 0.25-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length make this a short-series tool appropriate for tight-clearance pockets and slots. It is compatible with high-precision toolholders for runout-sensitive work.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders on CNC machining centers. Suitable for milling aluminum, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, wood, and composite materials. Straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard 1/8-inch collet and shrink-fit systems.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly seated before securing the shank. Use a high-precision toolholder to maintain runout tolerances consistent with the mill diameter tolerance of plus or minus 0.0005 inches. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running initial cuts.
