The HARVEY TOOL 60262-C4 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 0.0625 inch (1/16 inch) cutter diameter and a 0.5 inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-feature machining. The 2-flute upcut geometry promotes chip evacuation in slotting and profiling operations. An amorphous diamond coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life when cutting abrasive non-ferrous materials, composites, and graphite. The 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders common in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for small-part and micro-machining applications in job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and medical device machining where fine detail and close tolerances are required. The right-hand cutting direction and upcut flute geometry make it effective for finish passes and full-slot milling in materials that generate fine abrasive chips, such as carbon fiber reinforced polymers, circuit board substrates, and filled plastics. The 2-inch overall length provides adequate reach while maintaining rigidity at this small diameter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. No specific machine model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, de-energized state. Ensure the collet and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for runout tolerances, as excessive runout accelerates wear and increases breakage risk at this small diameter. Refer to the machining center documentation for appropriate speeds and feeds for the work material.
