The HARVEY TOOL 59910-C3 is a solid carbide engraving cutter designed for precise engraving and marking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 90-degree included angle with a tip radius point geometry, a 1/8 inch cutter diameter, and a single right-hand flute. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and tool life, making it well suited for demanding machining environments. With a 0.054 inch length of cut and 1/8 inch shank diameter, this cutter fits standard collet toolholders common to CNC machining centers and engraving machines.
This cutter is intended for use on ferrous metals such as steel and stainless, as well as non-ferrous metals including aluminum and brass. Its compact 1-1/2 inch overall length makes it a practical choice for close-clearance engraving work, part marking, and detail cutting operations on CNC routers and vertical machining centers in job shop, production, and tool-room settings. Machinists and tooling technicians are the typical installers and operators of this tooling.
Designed for use on ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. Fits standard 1/8 inch collet toolholders used in CNC machining centers and engraving machines.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as engraving cutters with small diameters are sensitive to concentricity errors.
