The HARVEY TOOL 57920-C6 is a 7-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 5/16 inch cutting diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, this tool delivers efficient material removal and fine surface finishes in a single-end configuration. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or high-speed cutting conditions. A 41-degree variable helix angle reduces chatter and harmonics during the cut, improving both finish quality and tool stability. This end mill is installed and operated by CNC machinists and toolroom professionals working in job shops, production facilities, and precision machining centers.
This end mill is suited for milling applications in ferrous and hardened materials where tool life and cutting stability are priorities. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. With a 5/16 inch shank diameter matching the cutting diameter, it seats directly into standard ER collets or end mill holders of the appropriate size. The non-centercutting geometry means this tool is intended for peripheral and side milling rather than plunge operations.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers with ER collet systems or end mill holders accepting a 5/16 inch shank. Suitable for side milling and peripheral milling operations in ferrous metals and hardened workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a 7-flute tool at this diameter.
