The HARVEY TOOL 56530-C8 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding shop environments. With a 0.115-inch cutting diameter, a 0.031-inch corner radius, and a 3-flute right-hand helical geometry, this tool delivers clean edge profiles and tight tolerances on corners. The TiB2 (titanium diboride) PVD coating reduces friction and extends tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a short 0.125-inch length of cut, it is built for controlled, high-accuracy passes rather than deep-reach applications. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for finish and roughing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood. It fits standard toolholders with a straight cylindrical 0.125-inch shank. The corner radius geometry makes it especially effective for slot milling operations where a precise radiused corner is required, such as O-ring groove profiles. It is part of the Harvey Tool Dovetail Cutters and O-Ring Slotting End Mills specialty series and can also be used for general specialty profile work where a small-diameter corner radius end mill is needed.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the Harvey Tool Dovetail Cutters and O-Ring Slotting End Mills specialty series.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in the toolholder collet to the correct engagement depth before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and cutting diameter before engaging the tool. Never exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or engage the full length of cut in a single pass without confirming rigidity of the setup.
