The HARVEY TOOL 56510 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. It measures 1.4 mm (0.055 inches) in cutting diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius and a 0.5625-inch length of cut. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank, this short-length end mill fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and toolroom operators working in tight-tolerance applications will find the close corner radius tolerance of plus or minus 0.001 inches useful for consistent edge prep and slot profiling.
This end mill is part of the Harvey Tool Dovetail Cutters and O-Ring Slotting End Mills series and is suited for specialty profile work including O-ring groove cutting and similar precision slot applications. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and lateral milling. It is appropriate for use in both production and job-shop environments where small-diameter, tight-tolerance profiling is required on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite materials. Part of the Harvey Tool Dovetail Cutters and O-Ring Slotting End Mills specialty profile series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using a compatible collet or end mill holder sized for a 0.125-inch shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout and holder clamping force before engaging the cut, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout and improper seating. Follow the machine manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for proper torque and retention.
