The HARVEY TOOL 56510-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. With a 1.4 mm (0.0550 inch) mill diameter, a 1/64 inch (0.0150 inch) corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes, this single-end tool is built for both roughing and finishing operations at tight tolerances. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding ferrous and composite materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank, the 56510-C3 fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 56510-C3 is suited for small-diameter, close-tolerance milling work including slot milling, profiling, and corner radius contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its short flute length and high helix geometry make it appropriate for applications requiring controlled chip evacuation in confined cuts. This tool falls within the Dovetail Cutters and Specialty Profiles series, making it applicable to O-ring groove slotting and similar precision profile work. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in job shop, toolroom, and production environments.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpieces.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC operators using a collet chuck, hydraulic holder, or compatible toolholder rated for the 1/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being applied.
